Spiritual Efforts

The gospel of Jesus Christ transforms lives to reflect the character of God, giving dignity, self-esteem, hope, and a reason to strive for a better lifestyle. Christianity helps everything else we teach them fall into place and brings true balance to their lives.

Pastor Waldo

Pastor Waldo Cacildo, our new mission pastor, arrived in July with the medical evangelism team.

During the summer medical evangelism effort (2002), Pastor Waldo

held nightly evangelistic meetings. Hundreds of villagers packed the church every night. He was then invited to do the same in Santa Clara and Miguel Bikan.

Pastor Waldo is now working fulltime with twelve lay pastors. Traveling to the surrounding villages with a tent, he holds evangelistic meetings every week. Over 125 precious souls have been baptized since July!

New Church in Santa Clara

Although the village of Santa Clara was previously somewhat antagonistic toward the mission, the Lord has opened the door for a church to be built there. The property has already been purchased, and the villagers will provide the labor if we supply the needed materials.
